More and more Poland-based IT companies start to operate across the national boundaries and successfully compete with IT multinationals. Long-term projects on behalf of global players started in Poland are on a number of occasions branched out to other countries. Such projects are repeatedly the starting point of international expansion of Polish IT companies. The trend goes hand in hand with growing appreciation of Polish IT specialists abroad.
The “Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe 2014” report perfectly exemplifies the growth of Polish IT sector. Polish companies marked their presence in the ranking – out of 50 fast-growing Central European technology companies, 1/3 stands for Poland-based companies, which additionally achieve over-average financial results. Moreover, out of ten small businesses – the so called “Rising Stars” – included in the “Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe 2014”, 4 come from Poland.
“IT companies operating in the B2B channel abroad become more and more inclined to base their competitive edge on the values, such as quality and flexibility of the solutions offered rather than the sole price advantage. Building the integrated ecosystem of IT solutions is also vital. Business clients strive for the integrated IT environment and, that is why, they opt for cooperation with a single IT solutions provider who is able to handle all IT issues” – Paweł Ogorzałek, Director of Sales and Business Development at Infinite IT Solutions, comments.
Polish IT sector starts to think globally. Companies enter new markets – outside the highly-saturated Western Europe, and head for countries of the Middle East, Africa, Asia as well as Central & Eastern Europe. These locations demonstrate demand for specialised IT systems such as integration solutions, mobile applications.
As Paweł Ogorzałek points out, IT solutions developed in Poland will be even more recognisable in the international arena if companies engage financially by opening foreign branches or subsidiaries rather than establishing their international presence only through the partnership network.
